As we start to say goodbye to the Winter weather and welcome that beautiful blooming warm Spring sun, it’s time to start planning our upcoming travel. Now I don’t know about you, but I live to explore and go on trips. Local, Global, small or big… I don’t care! I just need to get out and see something new. I really look forward to the big planned trips where I can make new memories with my family & friends. A few Tips I have for making the most of your travel plans are:
- Find and make the time! – Plan the trip around dates that you will be able to take some down time (Time off from work/Kids out of school/Holiday weekends) or when you know you will need the downtime (After a big family event/Work project completed/Celebrating a special milestone).
- Save Money Honey! – Start saving money for this trip, so you are not restricted and spending the money you know you will need for your bills at the end of the month. Budgeting ahead of time is sooooo key and really determines where and what kind of experience you will be having.
- What Experience you want? – Determine wether you want to stay at a hotel or find a cute airbnb and live like the locals. Try to figure out the kind of experience you want to have. Think of the pros and cons of staying in either of these places. (Ex: Hotel – Room Service/ Airbnb – Home cooked meals) Then just book it ahead of time to find the best deal so you save money honey!
- Look for the deal$$$ – I am big on finding deals on places that are destinations, and also trying to go when it is off season. Once you decide on the place and have an idea on the time you want to go, just make sure to look at the weather.
- We out! – In the end just go have fun and make the most of it while knowing you saved some money.
Now go and wanderlust on the places you want to see, local or far away, it really doesn’t matter! Just start to get those travel plans going and don’t forget to get excited because time flies and soon you will be at your desired destination enjoying a margarita on the beach or maybe pool side but either way you are on your way somewhere new!
Xoxo!
